I've had just about enough!

I RANG to enquire about goods at my local catalogue shop. No need to go all the way into town, a quick phone call should sort it out! How naive! The dreaded answer phone sucked me into a labyrinth of finger-tapping, multi-choice options! She put up a good fight, that answering machine! She didn't succumb easily to my persistence and determination to actually reach a human being. I was given so many choices that I almost forgot why I rang, never mind which option I wanted! But eventually she had to transfer me to a customer advisor. And lo and behold - it was engaged! How long had I been there?
