Nighthawks on trial

MERSEYSIDE Nighthawks American football team are holding trials this Sunday for prospective players. Merseyside's only gridiron side narrowly missed out on promotion to National League Division One in last season's play-offs ­ but did have the consolation of seeing running back Nathan Hazell picked for the Great Britain side and Phil McGrath break 1,000 yards rushing for the season.
